The “Nickle Recycling Industry Park”of Ankang HTZ will be established as a key construction Project for 

southern Shaanxi’s recycling industry on a surface of 5,000 Mu (~3.3 km2) with a megainvestment of RMB 30 bn.

The Project is also mentioned in “the twelfth fiveYear’s Plan” for Shaanxi Province. It is based on a construction plan 

to be realized in three phases.

Largest investor is the Shaanxi Muxin Material Ltd., supported by Ankang HTZ. The Zone is, moreover, responsible for 

this Project, along with its responsibility for the “Sulphuric Acid Production Project’. Both are going to be set up in 

Ankang HTZ’s “New Materials Industry Park, whereas the mining of pyrites and the pyrite concentrate production will be located 

in Kazi Town of Baihe County, and later, in Pingli County.

Advantages of the recycling industry shall be marked by the abundance of pyrite [penroseite  type (Ni, Co, CuSE2], 

the then existing facilities for the production of pyrite concentrate and sulphuric acid, ultimately, for the production of nickle 

with an interesting sales vs. cost-ratio.

Target is to organize mining and establish facilities for a production line achieving production of 100,000 tons of 

nickle/a within five years’ time from 2013.

The Project shall be segregated into two parts being nickle recycling and pyrites mining cum pyrite concentrate 

in the “New Materials Industry Park” (in Guan Miao Town of Hanbin District). 

The first step of construction shall be done on a surface of 1650 Mu (1.1 km2). 

The area for steps two and three and the storage area shall be prepared in one move, but carried out consecutively,

whereby the first part shall focus on the area for the preparation of pyrites and pyrites concentrate in Kazi Town (Baihe County). 

For the second part, mining and production may be transferred to Pingli County.
